Are these sticks shelf stable or do they require refrigeration?
Each stick stays flavorful and shelf stable for about a year thanks to our natural fermentation and wood-smoking process. Once opened, pop them in the fridge if you don’t finish them right away. Easy, portable, and ready whenever hunger hits.
What does "naturally fermented" mean?
We use a natural fermentation process (similar to how yogurt is made) to safely preserve our meat sticks. Good bacteria break down sugars and lower the pH, making them shelf-stable while adding that signature tangy flavor. It’s a cleaner, safer, more traditional method that enhances both taste and digestibility — no harsh preservatives needed.
Are these meat sticks gluten free?
Yes, we try to keep our ingredient list simple — no grains or fillers. Whether you’re eating keto, paleo, carnivore, gluten-free (or just trying to snack smarter) we have a stick that fits your plan.
Where is your beef sourced?
Most of our beef and ingredients are proudly American-made. For our grass-fed line, we go to a region globally recognized for producing exceptionally clean, grass-fed AND finished beef — Australia. While we import some cuts for quality, those products are still crafted, packaged, and shipped right here in the U.S., supporting American jobs and small businesses every step of the way.
Why do you use dextrose?
You may spot Dextrose on our label but it’s not there to sweeten. Dextrose is only added to kickstart the natural fermentation. That tiny bit gets completely eaten up in the process, leaving no sugar behind.
